After a robbery of the Svalbard Seed Vault and the discovery of enormous discs in space blocking Earth’s sunlight, the US government tasks Kelsey Lystad, a former defense contractor turned peace ambassador, to lead the diplomatic response to the crisis. But when the aliens manifest over holy sites as Christ, Muhammad, Buddha, and other religious figures and give humanity the choice of destruction or salvation, Kelsey and her team must race against time to repel the alien invasion and prevent war on Earth.
When There Was Light
I’m writing this novel for my YouTube series Writing a Novel with Jonathan Davidson. It’s an alien invasion story about how the world might realistically respond when aliens spin up massive discs at Lagrange Point 1 and start freezing the earth.
I want you to see how a novel evolves at every step of the process. Therefore, you can read each chapter at its various stages of development. For me, that usually means a handwritten first draft followed by a typed second draft. After finishing the manuscript, I will make further revisions of each chapter.
